Friend. Companion. Late-night lover. Whatever you call it, it’s about bloody time we put the humble kebab on the pedestal it deserves. 

The long-suffering culmination of mystery meats, tabbouleh and sauce has been shamed as nothing more than a 2am booty-call for your mouth, but the truth – according to SBS’ new series Kebab Kings – is that your decadent wrap is a national treasure of the highest order.
Over three hommous-filled eps, the new documentary will show two sides of Australia through the eyes of the wrap: blasted, rowdy and ravenous punters looking for a quick, greasy fix at Oz Turk on Sydney’s George St, through to the new, community building efforts of Smith Kebab’s in Collingwood, Melbourne
It’s enough to bring a tear to your bleary, lamb-deprived eyes.  Kebab Kings debuts on November 28, but you check out a trailer below:
