Cast your minds back a couple of days, dear friends. All the way back to earlier in the week.
The internet became awash with a single image of futility; one of failure despite the purest of intentions; a bleak yet fitting allegory for modern life.
And together, we all gazed upon this simple image of a raccoon accidentally dissolving his prized cotton candy in water and declared in one voice “IT ME.”
We felt for the poor little guy. Because we’ve all been there – clutching at something new and wonderful, only to have it disintegrate before our very eyes despite having no idea why.
But what we didn’t see in that selective little clip, is the plucky young scamp’s redemption.
And it’s a glorious redemption, too. A triumph of the spirit. A glowing endorsement for the virtues of persistence.
Because, as it turns out, the little buddy didn’t simply give up after that first horrible incident. He kept going.
Though he ran into the same problem again on the second try, it was on the third attempt that he finally figured it out.
And would you LOOK AT HOW STOKED HE IS WITH HIMSELF??

The moral of this story, friends, is that if you keep trying, eventually all the snacks will be yours.
