Feast Your GD Eyes On The First Order In This Brief, New “Star Wars” Spot

Cards on the table, there’s not a *real* lot of new footage to be seen here.

But what little there is is positively freakin’ huge.
Continuing the merciless reporting on and picking apart of every scrap of information, footage, and promotion that hits the web in preparation for the unveiling of Star Wars – Episode VII: The Force Awakens later this year, today’s titbit comes in the form of a brand spanking new – and frankly gorgeous looking – TV spot from Korea.
What this spot does reveal is pretty darned cool. The First Order – kind of the equivalent evil force of the Empire in the rebooted universe – all standing in formation, with more than a few similarities to Nazi Third Reich iconography and military dictatorship-style regimentation.
Keen eyes out there have also spotted what appears to be First Order AT-AT walker vehicles, but with a key point of difference – unlike their original trilogy predecessors, these AT-AT’s look like they don’t have necks, eliminating one of the vehicle’s prior chief weaknesses. PROGRESS! LEARNING FROM MISTAKES!
Now if they could only manage to board up all proton torpedo-sized exhaust shafts that mystifyingly provide direct tracks to any reactor cores, then they might be in business.
Hit play, grab onto something, try to control the shaking.

Star Wars – Episode VII: The Force Awakens hits cinemas on December 18th.
