Fatally Attacked VIC Man ID’d As Cousin Of Woman Found Dead At Buck’s Party

A 24-year-old man fatally attacked in Melbourne’s western suburbs on Saturday night has been revealed as the cousin of Natasha Rowley, the woman found dead in a Melbourne serviced apartment last month.

Marcus Rowley was allegedly stabbed in the back on a platform at Tottenham Station in West Footscray. Onlookers attempted to resuscitate the father-of-two, but were unsuccessful.

He had been back in Melbourne for only three days after attending his cousin’s funeral in Perth.

Rowley’s partner Caris Miles told Seven News “I don’t understand how you could take a father away from his kids,” adding “he was such a good person and taken way too soon.”

A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged with murder over Rowley’s death. He was slated to face Melbourne Magistrate’s Court today.

A 31-year-old Brunswick woman was also questioned over the incident, but was released by police pending further enquiries.

20-year-old Australian Defence Force member Natasha was found dead in following a buck’s party celebration last month. Victoria Police say her death is not being treated as suspicious.
