Fat Pizza Actor Sentenced To Five Years In Prison For Killing A Rapper With A Samurai Sword

Blake Davis Samurai Sword

Stuntman and Fat Pizza actor Blake Davis, 31, has been convicted of killing rapper Jett McKee with a 255mm samurai sword shortly after an attempted robbery. Davis has been sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in prison.

According to News.com, the NSW Supreme Court heard on Tuesday that McKee entered Davis’ flat with a pistol and a balaclava, demanding money.

According to Davis, McKee pointed the pistol at his girlfriend Hannah Quinn, which lead him to step in and begin chasing McKee down the road.

The court heard that eventually, Davis pulled McKee “to the ground”, where he proceeded to raise the samurai sword, then bring it down upon McKee’s head as he was still “on his hands and knees.”

Neighbours reportedly heard a “cracking sound” as the blade cut through the right side of McKee’s skull and pierced his brain, wounding him. Shortly after this, McKee began to move down the street while “covered in his own blood and brain matter”. He died soon after.

“I am satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that Mr Davis intended to kill Mr McKee at the relevant time,” Justice Natalia Adams reportedly told the court.

“All the eyewitnesses described one clean, intentional blow.

“I am satisfied… Mr Davis wielded an extremely dangerous sword, causing a significant injury from which (Jett McKee) could not have recovered.”

Davis has made minor appearances in both Housos and Fat Pizza, and was found guilty of manslaughter back in December, 2020. His five-year sentence was on Tuesday, and could see him potentially released in 2026.

“I am satisfied he felt scared and confused… but that does not adequately explain his actions of hiding evidence, taking things and fleeing,” said Adams.

“I am satisfied McKee pointed the pistol inside the premises. I am not satisfied McKee was pointing a gun at Quinn at the time of the fatal blow.”

Justice Adams ruled that due to mental health issues in Davis, an extended stay in custody would only cause more suffering for him. It is for this reason that she has imposed a non-parole period of two years and nine months, which will end in December 2023.
