Mary’s, Mary’s, Mary’s… what are you doing to us?
The reputable Newtown joint that make burgers that are ‘like a McDonalds cheeseburger but way better‘ will soon be trying their hand at kebabs at The Cliff Dive in Darlinghurst.
Kebabs will be at a similar price point to their burgers – around $10. And as you expected, they will not be your average kebab: “They won’t be super-traditional, but we will draw influence from the ‘3am drunk fat man’ kebab that we all love.”
The fillings that ‘drunk-at-3am-you’ will soon be drooling over will be unorthodox, and on rotation. The smoked chicken, Lebanese pickles and garlic sauce will make an early appearance, alongside devil pork curry, mango pickle and sorrel yoghurt, and also slow roasted lamb neck with XO sauce and pickled turnip stalks. For the vego’s, there will be a roast pumpkin, corn, cheese turnip top salsa verde.
Let’s face it – winter comfort food is sorted. Sloppy drunken kebab-eating awaits you.
The Mary’s kitchen at The Cliff Dive will be operating everything Thursday, Friday and Saturday from Thursday 7th May, 8pm until late.
