Ex-MAFS Star Stacey Hampton Is *Not* Going To Jail For That Illegal Interstate Shopping Spree

Ex-MAFS star Stacey Hampton, who appeared in court earlier this year for allegedly breaking travel restrictions for an interstate shopping spree, has escaped conviction and will *not* be going to jail.

Stacey Hampton was facing up to two years in jail or a $20k fine for COVID breaches earlier this year, after she left Melbourne and crossed the border into Adelaide for a shopping holiday, despite restrictions that only essential travellers could skip quarantine. Sigh. At least it’s on brand?

Stacey was initially charged with three counts of breaching restrictions after being arrested at Adelaide Airport on May 6 upon her return.

If Stacey was found guilty, she could have been jailed for up to two years or fined up to $20,000 – but luckily for her, that’s not going to happen.

Stacey pleaded guilty to one of the charges, while the other two were dropped, and has escaped conviction. She’s just been fined $1000 and has to cover court costs, with News.com.au reporting she has to pay a total of $1676 by mid July this year.

For those of you who don’t watch MAFS, Stacey Hampton shot to fame on the show last year, where she was paired with absolute cracked unit Michael Goonan. Their relationship was chaotic to say the least, and unsurprisingly they split up – though Michael still occasionally comments on her Insta and gets roasted for it.

Actually, rumour has it the two might be back on our screens for an Aussie version of Ex On The Beach. Considering Stacey has previously joked about reversing her car into Michael on Instagram, I just know this is going to be 100% chaotic – which is just how I like my reality TV.

For the sake of drama, I hope her court case doesn’t stop her from getting onto the show.
