WATCH: Even Bloody Karlos Has Sounded Off On This “Complete BS” Plebiscite

Karl Stefanovic had issued a fiery piece-to-camera regarding the fresh bullshit that is the Coalition’s decision to stick with a plebiscite on same-sex marriage, telling The Today Show audience that “a non-binding, non-compulsory postal vote is complete BS.”

Look at it this way: when an editorial like this finds its way onto mainstream breakfast telly, it’s not exactly a radical opinion any more.

Speaking on yesterday’s decision by the LNP to move forward with the costly and needless vote on whether same-sex couples should be allowed to marry, Stefanovic asked “why do we elect officials if not to make decisions that reflect our beliefs?”

We feel it’s important to reiterate that same-sex couples aren’t looking for a legal loophole to own an arsenal of cruise missiles – they just want to have the right to tie the bloody knot.

Stefanovic recognises as much, saying pollies are wasting time that could be spent on other pressing issues by handballing this one around.

Before that, he also laid into the Labor Party and its leader Bill Shorten wanting to “ensure marriage reform is delayed until he himself is the one who gets to sign off on it.”

This is Karl Stefanovic. The same fella we made play Never Have I Ever. And here he is, making a reasoned argument against the political fuckery that is keeping queer Aussies from the same rights afforded to their straight counterparts.

Come the hell on, Australia.
