‘Evangelion’ Is Hitting Oz Netflix Next Year In A Huge Boon For Huge Nerds

Look, if you’re the type of person that’s excited about the fact that Evangelion is coming to Netflix, there’s a fair chance that you already have the box set kicking around somewhere in the house, but let’s be real: who can be fucked digging around in a cupboard and fucking with discs when you can just press a button. No one, that’s who.

Netflix announced today that the entire original series plus the movies The End of Evangelion and Evangelion: Death (True)2 would be coming to the platform next year, with Netflix confirming to P.TV that, yes, that includes Australia.

The announcement was made at Netflix’s Anime Lineup Presentation at Tokyo‘s Akiba Theatre, and was alongside news that Ultraman and Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac were both also heading to the platform, as reported by Deadline.

Neon Genesis Evangelion is arguably one of the most iconic shows in the anime series canon, fusing mecha combat and weird mysticism into a show that was as entertaining as it was inscrutable.

There’s no word yet on when specifically next year it will hit your screens, but that at least gives you some time to get all of your figurines out and arrange them in an aesthetically pleasing fashion around the TV.
