New Lawsuit Accuses Ed Westwick Of Rape, Holding Woman “Captive” For Days

A new lawsuit accuses actor Ed Westwick of raping a woman and effectively holding her captive in his home for several days in 2014.

In a lawsuit filed against her former business partners but not against Westwick, stylist Haley Camille Freedman alleges that she engaged in consensual sex with the actor when he asked her to choke him, slap him, and spit on him. She alleges that when she declined, he spat on her, and that she decided she would not have sex with him again.

The legal filing states when she awoke the next morning, Westwick delayed driving her back to her car. The suit states when she took a shower, Westwick sexually assaulted her. Freedman alleges Westwick then physically intimidated her to keep her from leaving, and repeatedly sexually assaulted her over the course of two “horrific and nightmarish” days.

She alleges she did not report the matter to police for fear of it impacting her burgeoning career.

Freedman’s suit is directed against the company she alleges cut her off following the incident. She states the company excluded her from the business when she attempted to share her story with the media in late 2017. She is suing for breach of contract and fraud.

The lawsuit also states Westwick threatened to sue her over the allegations, and that he claimed to have proof he was seeing family at the time of the alleged incident.

Freedman is the fourth woman to accuse Westwick of sexual assault, and she alleges that Westwick has established a pattern of predation.

In November, Westwick responded to allegations from Aurelié Wynn and Kristina Cohen by calling them “two unverified and provably untrue social media claims”.

Freedman is seeking damages totalling US $400,000.
