It’s been a weird few months for EB Games.
All across the land, stores have been noticeably barren, forgoing their trademark appearance of 4,000 SALE!!!! posters for the cleaner, minimalist look.
WTF even is this?
Things got so bad that we reported on this unusual phenomenon last year, after a post on their Facebook page from photographer + concerned citizen Pat Stevenson asked if everything was okay went viral.
33k likes, 3.3k comments, and almost 500 shares later, EB Games got back to Pat, assuring him that, much like a butterfly waiting to break free of its cocoon, their sales were currently on hiatus but would be back and bigger than ever.
And that time, dear friends, has come.
EB Games emailed us this morning to let us know that the butterfly has emerged, and it is the BIGGEST BUTTERFLY EVER.
LOOK AT ALL THOSE CHEAP GAMES.
SURELY, IT IS THEIR BIGGEST SALE EVER.
BIGGER, EVEN, THAN THE NERD LEVEL REQUIRED TO MAKE AN IRON THRONE OUT OF EB SALE POSTERS.
The dark days of wondering if EB Games is on sale are over at last.
