Drive Your Numero Uno Wild With A Shannon Noll V-Day Card This Year

Shopping for your significant other for Valentine’s Day can be daunting as hell. What if they get you a better present than you get them? What if one of you forgets? What if they hate your gift? Oh god.

But luckily, there’s innovators in the world here to help us avoid these terrible situations. And one of them comes by way of a gentleman called Gerard Craner, who has decided to create a range of Shannon Noll-themed V-Day cards.
YES, YOU READ CORRECTLY.
We wanted to know what possesses someone to dedicate their a large chunk of time to creating greeting cards covered with the face of a true blue Australian Idol:
I just knew that others would want Shannon in their love life…

With only a couple of weeks left until Valentine’s Day the timeframe was short but I was determined to get these cards made, so on Sunday afternoon I gathered together two mates, Robert Hickson and Michael Lacey, to assist me in bringing these designs to life.

We spent that whole night and into the early morning drinking VBs and listening to Shannon Noll while coming up with designs. It was truly brilliant.

The cards come in three different designs,
  • What About Me? – if you’re maybe trying to tune someone and feel that the best way to their heart is via greeting cards with the face of the 2003 Australian Idol runner-up.
  • Robbed in ’03 – if your bae is just as gutted as you over the absolute farcical nonsense that was Nollsie losing a particular singing compo in in the early noughties.
  • Nollsy the Poet – possible the simplest design of the three, it simply shows the soulful wonderfulness that is our nation’s hero, Shannon Noll. The fedora matched with speed dealers shows he’s smart and deep, but also ~trendy and hip~.
And if you trawl through the delightful website, they’ve got some truly 10/10, very real reviews:
You can buy one, or if you’re into playing the field (much like Shanno would have been if only he’d won the big prize in the big Australian Idol finale of ’03), you can buy a deluxe pack with all three designs.
When we asked Gerard what he thought the big man himself does for his missus on the day of love, he had no doubts:
“Shannon is a class act, a true aussie gent. I’d imagine he’s a bit of a romantic too – candles, petals, music (his, of course), chocolates and wine, the full-blown experience. I bet he’s going to try his luck in the kitchen too and whip her up a romantic dinner, a la fish tacos!

I hope that this year he can go one better and give his missus a set of high quality Shannon Noll Valentine’s Day cards to seal the deal.”
Bloody bonza, romance isn’t *really* romance unless Nollsie’s involved. Fish tacos for everyone!

First crack at fish taco’s tonight. Not bad!
