Don’t Panic, The ATAR Results Delivered 5 Days Early Are All 100% Correct

Year 12 students – panic no mo.
After news broke that students had bizarrely been able to receive their ATAR and VCE results a whopping 5 days early due to a technical glitch, there’s been a helluva lot of people panicking that the results they were given were incorrect.
Speaking to News Corp, Year 12 student Adam Scullin from MacKillop College in Werribee said:
“If the system had gone wacky and my score ends up being a lot lower than what I first was told, my first response is that I’d be very upset, and pretty gutted, but that would quickly turn to anger.

You’d start to point fingers and say this was really cruel; there’s lots of people who thought they’d done well, so there’d be sadness and disappointment, followed by pretty serious anger.”
However, VTAC (Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre and Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority) has clarified in a statement on Twitter that the 2075 students who received their info don’t have to worry, because the results that were given to each student were definitely correct.

Phew. We’re so glad. There would legitimately be nothing worse that thinking you did insanely well, when in actual fact you bombed.
NICE WORK, STUDENTS. You can rest easy now.
