The Proposed Logos For Trump’s Space Force Are Here And Twee As Hell

U.S. President Donald Trump‘s campaign team has sent an email asking supporters to vote on which proposed Space Force logo they’d like to see printed on official merchandise, in a move which is absolutely, 100% not meant to distract punters from the ongoing chaos surrounding the Trump administration.

The email features six proposed logos, most of which look like offcuts from the video game No Man’s Sky, or one of those dope 1980s Lego space sets. One seems to be a red alteration of the NASA logo, while another bears the phrase “Mars awaits.”

That last one is weird, considering Space Force has been proposed as the sixth branch of the American military, and not an exploratory or scientific organisation.

Recipients of the email were then directed to a campaign donation page after selecting their favourite logo. Of course.

The email was sent as U.S. Vice President Mike Pence addressed the media at the Pentagon regarding Space Force.

“Our adversaries have transformed space into a war-fighting domain already, and the United States will not shrink from this challenge,” Pence said.

Pence also revealed the White House’s intention to have the Space Force up and running by 2020. It still requires congressional approval to become a reality, but given the tripartite support of Trump, Pence, and the Pentagon, we may be seeing one of those Etsy-ass logos on MAGA hats real soon.
