American President-elect Donald Trump may have just pulled out some of the most flagrant bullshittery of his entire sad saga by tweeting that Mexico will pay for his fabled border wall, but only after the United States stumps up the initial funds.
In the same day it was revealed that Trump’s team is aiming to secure cash for his campaign’s cornerstone project by appropriating a pre-existing national security bill – instead of asking Mexico to pony up the dosh up front – Trump sent this out:
The dishonest media does not report that any money spent on building the Great Wall (for sake of speed), will be paid back by Mexico later!

Compare that stance with the one Trump presented during his campaign, recognise that any deal with Mexico regarding their payment for the hypothetical project is mind-bogglingly unlikely, and try to work through the sheer cognitive dissonance of this entire clusterfuck:
Essentially, the man is imagining Mexico just signed off on a giant I.O.U., despite the fact that nation’s leaders have repeatedly shot down the already ridiculous concept.
Of course, this isn’t even considering all of the Trump voters who were swayed by his campaign promise to ensure Mexico pays, which now seems like an increasingly unlikely prospect given his apparent desire to secure US funds first.
Wild.
