It’s official, yo. It’s been confirmed that ‘True Blood’ & ‘Magic Mike XXL‘ star Joe Manganiello will play Deathstroke in Ben Affleck‘s upcoming ‘Batman‘ film that he’s directing and starring in.
Wall Street Journal has confirmed the news in an interview with DC Entertainment president Geoff Johns.
Deathstroke was allegedly supposed to be in ‘Suicide Squad’, which obvi didn’t pan out – but at the time, there were rumours that Manganiello had nabbed the role.
So when Affleck put up this video last week, that was enough for all the giant nerds big fans to freak the fuck out over Deathstroke being the villain in the Batfleck film.

The above video is actually Manganiello in his Deathstroke get-up, apparently. 
But this is pretty much all the confirmed info that we have about the Affleck-directed film; Johns even declined to comment on when the movie would be out.
He also declined to comment on whether Deathstroke will appear as a cameo role in ‘Justice League’.
But we’ll keep you updated.
