Daryl Banks – Crinoline Flowers

Using flowers as a metaphor for the most intimate of lady parts has been around since Shakespeare first put quill to parchment. With that thinly veiled visual metaphor in mind Canadian photographer Daryl Banks imagines a world where ruffled skirts are petals and slender legs are stamen.

The end result is visually stunning but that Banks does so in a non-pervy way is the real revelation. Besides we’ll appreciate anything that combines our most missed Winter casualties: blooming flowers and bare legs. Though not necessarily in that order.
