Very Good Dad Books 6 Xmas Flights To Hang Out With His Working Daughter

Everybody give it up for the father who booked himself on all the flights his daughter was working as a flight attendant over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for setting the bar so impossibly high it can no longer be reached by the everyman.

Hal Vaughan, who didn’t want his daughter, Pierce, to miss family time over Christmas went ahead and booked himself on every Delta Airlines flight she was rostered on over the period. It should be noted, however, that Delta employee’s family members are eligible for free or heavily discounted travel, so it’s likely old mate wasn’t too out of pocket, but still, it’s a bloody nice thing to do, especially considering it was six flights.

The news went viral when Hal told his story to fellow passenger, Mike Levy, on one of the flights, who shared it on Facebook“I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home,” Levy wrote in the post, which includes pictures of the pair.

“His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas. Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”

You can suss out his post below which has been shared more than 27,000 times and has 132,000 likes at the time of writing.

Pierce later shared the post to her own page, saying the whole thing was a total “success”.

“Dad’s first trip using his benefits was a success! A special thanks to all of the patient, wonderful gate agents around the country and my perfect crew,” she said. “He made it on every flight and even got first class Fort Myers to Detroit (Christmas miracle). Shoutout to Mike Levy for being a great first class passenger and helping us to understand how cool this actually is!”

That is some extremely heartwarming shit right there, folks. Hell yeah.
