Senator Cory Bernardi is a fairly voracious user of social media – it’s the free megaphone he can utilise whenever the media can’t be bothered amplifying his codswallop.
So it’s with a furrowed brow that this afternoon’s revelation that Senator Bernardi has gone ahead and deleted all his Tweets is met.
That’s a blanket-deletion, too. All tweets. All profile design. A complete bleaching.
It’s the kind of account nuking that’s usually reserved for the morning after a drunken night of Tweeting and sub-Tweeting your ex a dozen times every 5 minutes.
Or, y’know… For when you’ve tried to quote a famous French philosopher, but wound up taking words out of the mouth of an American neo-Nazi with child porn convictions.
‘Course he’s already tried to get the one up on the ~pesky media~ by posting this get-out-of-jail-free card.
