Cops Seize 2.3M Snake Suspected Of Eating Dog & Attempted Human Murder

File this one under: NOPE, THAT’S NOT HOW YOU DO SNAKES.

A NSW man is expected to be charged with possessing an exotic snake without a license, after police seized a 2.3-metre Boa Constrictor from his Singleton home yesterday.

The snake, a non-native species, is suspected to have eaten a small dog and attempted to strangle its human in his sleep.

Police were alerted to the snake’s presence after receiving reports that its owner was keeping it in his home.

The snake is deemed to pose a danger to native mammals, household pets, and is at risk of spreading disease, and so will be euthanised at a local veterinary clinic.

Police posted a photo of the snake on Facebook yesterday, and commenters are extremely mad at the snake being put down for this one man’s stupidity.

Honestly, though. If you’re gonna keep a snake as a pet, get the goddamn permits.
