Cop A 360-Degree Tour Of Bondi Hipsters’ Turbo Charged ‘Soul Mates’ S2 Set

Ya bois Bondi Hipsters are (almost) back with the second season of their hit ABC show ‘Soul Mates’, and we’ve got now had our first sneak peek of the new world in which Dom and Adrian – two mates continually drawn together across the course of human history, past and future – find themselves.
ABC TV has dropped a 360-degree preview video that gives us a glimpse of not only the souped-up set (gettin’ them $$$) but introduces us to the season’s two most colourful new characters: Seti, the disgruntled Eunuch son of Queen Hatshepsut, and Seti’s favourite Israelite slave, Amram.
It looks pretty slick, in part due to the fact that S2 is being part-produced by US streaming service SeeSo, which is owned by NBCUniversal and essentially the Netflix of comedy (translation: a bloody big win).

Check it out:

Soul Mates is back soon with a brand new season and 2 new mates: Seti and Amram from Ancient Egypt. Take a 360º look behind the scenes of the new Egyptian set during rehearsal. #SoulMatesTV

Speaking to

PEDESTRIAN.TV, Christiaan Van Vuuren – who birthed the Hipsters with bud Nick Boshier, if you didn’t already know – said the partnership with SeeSo allowed them to take the show to another level this time around.

“We had a bit more coin to play with this time around, so it’s meant we can cast some extra actors like John Howard, Geraldine Hakewill, Michael Denker and a little guest spot from Firass Dirani, which was awesome.”

As to why they picked Ancient Egypt as a place for Dom & Adrian to call home?

“We’re big fans fans of Game of Thrones, Vikings, all of those shows, and we felt there was room there for a satirical take,” he said.
Soul Mates S2 airs later this year (not only here but in ‘Murica), so watch this space.
