A 13-year-old from Monroe County, Mississippi has died from her injuries after allegedly being shot by her 9-year-old brother following an argument over a video game controller.
As reported by local news outlet WTVA, authorities arrived at the scene at around 1pm on Saturday, local time. She was rushed to Le Bonheur’s Children’s Hospital, later succumbing to her injuries. According to WTVA, the children’s mother was in an adjacent room when the gun was fired.
Cantrell said that they are unsure how the boy got hold of the gun. The case is being investigated by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
