Commuters Evacuated After Power Failure Strands Sydney Trains In Tunnels

Some Sydney commuters are having what I’m sure is a wildly thrilling trip home, after trains on the Harbour Bridge and city circle lost power thanks to an “urgent” power supply issue near Wynyard that has seen trains stuck at the station and in tunnels on the track.

According to 9 News, trains are still travelling into the city but trains have been stopped northbound.

People on the stuck trains don’t seem to be having a great time, finding out that a) a packed train with no air conditioning will get hot really fast and b) toilets are a really nice thing to have.

Transport NSW is currently working on fixing the power issues and evacuating commuters from the trains, with some having already been evacuated.
