A spokesperson for Woolworths was trying hard to remain upbeat, saying the company was trying desperately to resolve the issues: “Our online team will be doing everything they can to ensure orders are fulfilled so our customers can have a great Christmas.”
Meanwhile a Coles representative was contrite: “Coles will process a full refund for any item which is not delivered and we sincerely apologise to any customer affected.”
For any of you hit by the Great Supermarket Christmas F*@k Up of 2015 we hope you managed to overcome adversity and have a great Christmas anyway, even if you did have to eat Doritos and frozen peas.
