Coen Brothers Release Sneak Peek Of “Inside Llewyn Davis” Ft. Justin Timberlake, Adam Driver

Cruelly long after its trailer drop eleven months ago, the greatest filmmaking sibling duo of all time have released a sneak peek into their upcoming film Inside Llewyn Davis to whet collective appetites and remind everyone that this is a thing you’re genuinely excited for but genuinely forgot about.

The flawless presence of John Goodman and Carey Mulligan‘s sass in the trailer, along with signature Coen Bros subdued hues, wry humour and, let’s be honest, their names on the production in general, initially piqued our interest over Inside Llewyn Davis; today, a brief snippet from the upcoming film reveals the eponymous protagonist (Oscar Isaac) jamming with the unusual but unashamedly perfect pairing of Justin Timberlake and Girls’ Adam Driver.  And you know, if there’s two things that can convince me further of this film’s excellence, it’s seeing a beardy Justin Timberlake in a fluffy brown pullover singing with Adam Driver harmonising with jibes of “Outer. Space” in a cowboy hat.

Ingenious casting aside, Inside Llewyn Davis premiered at Cannes this year and received the coveted Grand Prix; beyond that, Joel Coen described the film’s plot – outside of it following a week in the life of a folk singer in 1960’s New York – and explained the addition of a hella adorable cat in the film (seen in the trailer after the jump) “The film doesn’t really have a plot. That concerned us at one point; that’s why we threw the cat in.”

Inside Llewyn Davis is released on the convenient oscar bait date of December 20 in the US, and will be released in Australia on January 16, 2014. Watch the sneak peek ft. Justin Timberlake, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver below.
