If there’s two things Clive Palmer loves, it’s not paying his debts and being a profoundly strange man. Somehow over the last few years Palmer has gone from doing nonsensical rambling tweets to ripping off Donald Trump‘s branding and messaging to fostering an online community rife with anti-semitism to now getting in fights with multiple members of Twisted Sister.
Palmer came to the attention of the band after fans pointed out that Palmer had been using a shitty parody of We’re Not Gonna Take It in a campaign video. After the band checked and came to the conclusion that they weren’t a fan of his policies, they told him to rack off:
“We’re Not Gonna Take It” is a song about EVERYONE’S right to free choice. “We’ve got the right to chose and there ain’t no way we’ll lose it!” The FIRST LINE of the first verse! Clive Palmer and the @PalmerUtdParty are NOT pro choice…so THIS AIN’T HIS SONG!

To the point that they were considering legal action:
Thanks to my Australian followers for reporting back that @CliveFPalmer @PalmerUtdParty are STILL running ads illegally using my song. You are my “boots on the ground”. Unfortunately, the wheels of justice turn slowly. I’m told legal action is in motion…#WERENOTGONNATAKEIT

Palmer, his brain presumably ruined permanently by the tragic loss of his mechanical dinosaur, decided that the best course of action, instead of just acquiescing and taking the video down, was coming on stage at a show and singing a shitty political jingle:
I would love to join @deesnider on stage for a sing-off of my ‘Australia’s Not Gonna Cop It’ and his version so fans can decide which one they like best. I’d be happy to be part of the tour when he visits Down Under.

Yep, that’s what the fans want.
This comes after the United Australia Party released a statement suggesting that frontman Dee Snider should have his visa cancelled:
We are concerned about defamation and threats made by Dee Snider and as such believe the minister for Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton should reject his visa, given the current crackdown.
I have a very strong suspicion that neither of these things are going to happen.
