Woman Files Lawsuit Claiming She Was Trapped And Raped At Chris Brown’s Home

A new lawsuit accuses rapper Young Lo, real name Lowell Grissom, of raping a young woman during an after-party at Chris Brown’s California home.

The lawsuit, which also names Brown, was filed on Wednesday by prominent attorney Gloria Allred. It alleges the unidentified woman was at a West Hollywood nightclub on February 23 this year when she was approached to attend an afterparty at Brown’s studio.

Speaking at a press conference, Allred said that when her client arrived at the studio, she was asked to hand over her phone as Brown didn’t want anyone taking photos. The lawsuits states she accepted.

The party allegedly then moved to Brown’s residence. The lawsuit states the plaintiff and other women present at the party were given clear pills filled with white powder and were instructed to have a “good time.” The plaintiff allegedly turned down the pill.

It is alleged she was guided into a bedroom under the guise of being allowed to use her phone, but another person pushed a couch in front of a door to prevent people from leaving. The lawsuit claims loud music and pornography were played as the women were told to strip and engage in sexual activity.

The plaintiff was allegedly forced by one of Brown’s female friends to perform oral sex on Grissom, along with forced participation in other sexual acts.

The lawsuit alleges that when she was permitted to leave the room and became separated from the group, Grissom raped her. It is also alleged that Grissom raped her again as she tried hailing a rideshare from the laundry.

The lawsuit claims the woman’s mother, concerned with her daughter’s wellbeing after failing to contact her for hours, used a tracking app to show her location at Brown’s home. She allegedly called the police to conduct a welfare check, but the lawsuit claims Brown refused to let police onto the property.

The woman left the premises some time later, and attended a rape treatment centre before filing a police report.

Allred said her client has cooperated with the police investigation, and that it’s still up to the district attorney to file charges against Grissom – but Allred also stated her client can proceed with the civil case regardless of potential criminal charge. To date, no charges have been filed against Grissom or Brown.

The attorney said her client chose to move forward with the lawsuit as “she does not want any young woman to endure violent sexual assault she was forced to endure in an environment of guns and drugs.”

Allred said “this is one of the most horrific sexual assault cases that I have ever seen.”

Representatives for Grissom and Brown have not yet responded to the media’s request for comment.
