Cheetahs Suffering From Anxiety Benefit From Support Dogs & It’s So Pure

Humans, across the board, are a pretty shithouse species. Sure we invented the sandwich, but since then we’ve pretty much just farted around ruining most of everything. Animals though? Animals are the shit my dudes, and they continue to surprise us in just how much better they are than grotty, dumb humans.
For examps, did you know cheetahs in captivation almost all suffer from anxiety related conditions and the best way to help them is to pair them with a support dog? It’s true, and it’s actually the best thing.
The adorable revelation all kicked off recently when Twitter account Andy Stardust, shared these pics of an adorable labrador/cheetah pairing from the San Diego Zoo, who look to be just the best of buds:

LOOK AT THEM GO THE LITTLE ANGELS!
After a bit of a Google, Twitter discovered that yep, doggos have been helping preservation efforts with cheetahs for decades.
As ThoughtCo helpfully explains, cheetahs not in the wild are “quite shy instinctively” which sucks as “shyness and anxiety don’t bode well for a breeding program”, which, first of all, same, but is why they pair them with pooches as “the cheetah looks to the dog for cues and learns to model their behavior.”
So not only are these furry companions the bestest of pals, but these support dogs are actually helping the cheetahs fuck, which I think we can all agree, rules.
To celebrate the global sharing of this truly amazing information, Twitter went in with pics and gifs of cheetah/doggo buds and I’m just gonna leave em all here for you to cry your guts out to.

Hey animals, you’re alright.
