Two more men with connections to the Netflix series Cheer have been arrested and charged this week, in two separate incidents relating to alleged child sexual misconduct.

Per reports in Deadline, 25-year-old Robert Joseph Scianna Jr (pictured) was taken into custody this week in Virginia, while 23-year-old Mitchell Ryan was arrested in Texas.

Scianna, a coach and choreographer who appeared on the fourth episode of Cheer, is accused of soliciting a minor for sex on social media.

He has been charged with a felony count of taking indecent liberties with a child, and with using an electronic communication device to solicit sex.

Ryan, a coach, was arrested for felony aggravated sexual assault of a child, in relation to an alleged incident that took place in July.

Ryan was a member of the Navarro College cheerleading team, which appeared on the Netflix series, although he himself was not featured in it.

Ryan was released after posting $50,000 bond. Hit attorney says the arrest has been a “nightmare” and he looks forward to “the truth” coming out and the case being over.

This news comes several months after the arrest of Jerry Harris, a breakout star of the show.

In September of 2020, Harris, also of Navarro College, was arrested by the FBI and charged with the production of child pornography.

He allegedly admitted to soliciting and receiving explicit messages from individuals he knew were minors, and to having sex with a 15-year-old in mid-2019.

In December of last year, it was revealed that he faced an additional seven charges over alleged incidents relating to four further minors.
