CH-CH-CHANGES: Vine’s Extending Their 6-Second Limit To A Whopping 140

If you’ve always been frustrated by the fact that you can only record 6 seconds on video loop app Vine, then de-stress: they’ve sorted you right out.
Vine will now offer #BeyondTheVine. When you’re scrolling through Vine, you’ll still see the normal 6 second looped clips as you do now. However, users will have the option to link a longer video that can go up to 140 seconds.
As per Vine’s post about this huge update:
“In the app, you’ll start to see Vines with a “Watch more” button in the lower right corner – tap or click that to view the attached video.

Videos will be up to 140 seconds in length, just like the videos shared on Twitter (You may see some that are longer – up to 10 minutes, which is an option we make available for some partners!)

You’ll continue to see Vines, those short looping trailers we all know and love. It’s just that now some Vines might have a longer video too.”
It’s currently in beta stages right now, but it’s a-comin’.
