Drug Mule Cassie Sainsbury Is Planning A Schmick Wedding In Colombian Jail

Convicted drug smuggler Cassie Sainsbury is set to marry her fiance Scott Broadbridge in Colombia‘s El Buen Pastor prison, in a ceremony that the couple’s celebrity agent (because of course they have one of those) promises will be “lavish” and bring in “great exposure.”

The 22-year-old, who is currently serving six years behind bars for attempting to smuggle 5.9kg of cocaine out of the country in headphone packages, had to seek permission from prison authorities to get hitched, and will likely do it towards the middle of 2018.

Max Markson, who represents the couple and is currently trying to negotiate TV and magazine deals for them, said that “it’s going to be a special event and will attract attention across the country,” and look, to be honest, we can’t wait to see how this hot mess turns out.

Markson also appears to be fishing around for Aussie designers to make the bride a dress for the big day, so if you want your fashions to be featured in what will definitely be the weirdest and wildest event of 2018, you probably still have time to chuck your name in the ring.

The wedding is likely to be a relatively intimate affair, with guests including foreigner, guards and friends that Cassie Sainsbury has made in the foreigners section of El Buen Pastor.

Sainsbury was sentenced to six years behind bars after negotiating a plea deal with Colombian authorities, but if she displays good behaviour in prison, she could be released in as little as three.

She was already engaged to Scott Broadbridge when she was arrested earlier this year, and he has previously told media that he plans to stick with her “as long as is takes.”
