Cara Delevingne Reportedly In Talks To Star In ‘Zoolander 2’

Take this one with a really, really, really, ridiculously big grain of salt. Straight out of the “Believe It When You See It” rumour mill today comes word (from IN the computer??!) that chicest cat in all the land* Cara Delevingne is currently in the early stages of talking to big shot Hollywood types about taking a lead role in the much vaunted, often rumoured, now looking like actually happening sequel to cult favourite comedy Zoolander, somewhat aptly entitled Zoolander 2.

The latest scuttlebutt is that Derek Zoolander himself Ben Stiller is currently searching for a female lead for the sequel, which (for the moment) is being written and potentially directed by Justin Theroux, and will allegedly see Owen Wilson reprise his role as Hansel (who, from all accounts, remains so hot right now).
The production purportedly is chasing a big name model to fill the lead female role – someone who is “a joker and full of comedy.” Being a darling of the Internet, Delevingne seemingly has at least that part of the character description all stitched up.
More to that, g8 m8 and fellow model Suki Waterhouse is also having her name bandied about with regards to a role in the fillum.
So it seems that, if this is true, the film is aiming to engage heavily with the modelling world it will be lovingly lampooning. And if this casting news is true, then I just got about 36% keener on the idea of a sequel.
Still, y’know.
