Canadian Social Worker Christine Archibald Named As First London Victim

Canadian social worker Christine Archibald is the first victim of the London terror attack to be named. She was struck by a van driven by terrorists on London Bridge, and died in her fiancé’s arms.
It’s an absolutely tragic story that drives home the tragedy of the whole sorry situation. Archibald had only just moved to Europe to be with her partner, Tyler Ferguson, in the Netherlands. They got engaged three months after her move, and they were visiting London for the weekend when the attack struck.
Ferguson’s brother Mark told CBC News:
“She had never been there before so they decided to take a walking tour of London in the nighttime.

“They were madly in love and had quite the plans for the future. [It’s] obviously very, very devastating for him. The love of his life has just been ripped away from him.”
Sister Cassie said that her brother was “broken into a million pieces.”
“He held her and watched her die in his arms.”
Archibald had worked at Alpha House, a homeless shelter for people with substance abuse problems in Calgary, before moving to be with Ferguson.
Her family have asked people to show their support by continuing her work.
