Cadbury Throws Shade At Snickers’ Questionable, Sexist Tradies Ad

Last week, Snickers – a Sometimes Food laden with everything that is both so right and slightly wrong with the world – unveiled their well-intentioned yet ultimately misguided attempt at empowering Australian woman through candy, inadvertently labelling all tradesmen misogynists whose positive attributes only shine through when they’re hungry and not themselves in the process.

The misstep so obvious as to lend itself to the assumption that it was not in fact a misstep at all did not escape the Mars® confectionary arch-nemeses at Cadbury, who have responded to the gaffe with a simple – albeit effective – mock-up of a nutty half-chewed Boost bar accompanied by the caption “Thank you #Snickers for starting the debate… We at #BoostNuts believe that men with nuts proudly respect women whether they’re hungry or not. #SexismIsNuts”
Sure is. Chase that purple dollar Cadbury; it’s your move now, Snickers.
