Sydney‘s getting its first (and biggest, by default) burger and beer festival this March – and its name is Burgapalooza, to be run outta Marrickville’s The Vic On The Park hotel from 11am-9pm on Saturday the 19th.
An event the likes of which is bound to make every bun fiend jizz in his / her pants, 6 of the city’s primo burger vendors will be flipping never-before-tasted, one-off burgers at the event, with each one matched to a gold frothie from the good folks at James Squire Brewery.
No fries, no sides, no gimmicks – just sweet, sweet patties + buns for you to wrap your chops ’round.
“We want punters to try as many different burgers as possible, so the burgers themselves will be on the smaller side of normal so you can fit more in,” Archie Saliba, one half of foodie events company Hashtag Burgers, tells P.TV.
It’s the perfect burger odyssey.
There’ll also be a lineup of local DJs spinning strictly vinyl funk / soul records for ~good vibes~.

Not in Sydney? Don’t fret – there are plans to expand Burgapalooza.
“If it goes as well as we hope it does, we’ll definitely look at going interstate – get more burger vendors involved and stuff,” says Archie.
