Brisbane Suburb Calls For Hoodie Ban

Crimey Brisbane suburb Wynnum is implementing a ban on hoodies as of July to fight an increasing incidence of armed robberies in the area. Shops in the area will have a “Remove Hoodies on Premises” sticker during the one month trial period that will test whether the hoodie ban improves crime stats.

Hoodies have a history of being worn by people of untrustworthy or questionable disposition. These include:

Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst.

Glorified computer hacker Mark Zuckerberg

Bodie from The Wire

Voldemort

Retailers in the UK have employed “hoodie-free zones” since 2005, with many shopping centres reporting a 50 per cent reduction in the number of armed robberies and shoplifting.
