Police Hunt For Suspect After Apparent Road Rage Stabbing In Brisbane CBD

Queensland Police are on the lookout for the person suspected of stabbing a man in Brisbane’s CBD this morning.

Inspector Daniel Bragg said two men in their early 30s were crossing the road near the intersection of Petrie Terrace and Milton Road at around 4am, when a vehicle either struck or came close to striking one of the pedestrians.

At least one occupant of the car left the vehicle. A physical altercation followed, in which the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his abdomen and back. He’s been taken to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for treatment.

It is not yet known what caused the incident, Inspector Bragg said.

Police are looking for a small car – potentially a green Holden Barina – in relation to the incident. Anyone who witnessed the attack, or the car in question, has been urged to come forward or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Portions of Milton Road were closed earlier this morning, and motorists have been advised to avoid the area if possible.
