Brisbane Bookstore Harassed By MRA Gronks Nears 5,000 5-Star Reviews

A couple of days after you-beaut Brisbane bookstore Avid Reader stoked the fury of men’s rights activists by promoting the work of feminist author Clementine Ford, thousands of gentle souls have responded by leaving five-star Facebook reviews.

At time of writing, over 4,700 people have graced Avid Reader with full marks. The majority of those come in response to a flock of livid anti-feminist campaigners afflicting Avid Reader’s Facebook with whingey one-star reviews.

While that seems like a bit of an innocuous gesture, the truth is that people really do pay attention to social media rankings: at a glance, that lil’ number can dissuade possible customers from strolling through, so keeping it high can be mighty useful.
