Well this terrible tale has arrived at its only logical conclusion: the Brighton Grammar students behind that fucked “young sluts” Instagram account have been expelled.
The two Year 11 boys set up an Instagram account called @ys_adademy_puspus that shared images of girls as young as 11 or 12 (without their consent) in various states of undress, sometimes accompanied by a list of supposed sex acts the girl would do.
The boys were suspended on Monday after the mum of one of the girls featured discovered the account and reported it to both the school and the police.
Since the expulsion, Brighton Grammar hasn’t issued a statement, but it did issue one on Monday in response to the initial media attention. It condemned the Instagram as “disgraceful” and not reflective of “the values of BGS”, and promised appropriate disciplinary action. (And hey, we got there – despite this writer wrongly predicting the boys wouldn’t be expelled. If anyone had actually taken me up on that bed, I’d have owed you a fiddy.)
Victoria Police – who confirmed on Monday that they’re investigating the incident – haven’t issued a statement yet, either.
