At PEDESTRIAN.TV, we independently choose and write about stuff we love and think you’ll froth too. We have affiliate partnerships so we might get a bit of money from any purchase you make based on our recs, cool? Cool. FYI – prices are accurate and items in stock at the time of posting.

Furniture shopping sounds like a blast in theory but it can actually be a lot more trouble than you’d think, especially right now. That’s where the good fellows over at Breeze Furniture have got it very, very right. If you thought a toilet paper subscription was as good as it’s going to get in 2021, this furniture subscription blows it right out of the water.

Kay, how does it actually work?

We get it, at this point it all sounds a little too good to be true, so we thought we’d explain it a lil’ more before you take the plunge. Let’s break it down into the four key steps you need to go through to get your desired pieces from Breeze Furniture.

  1. Pick a plan that suits you
  2. Choose your favourite furniture
  3. Have them delivered and assembled
  4. Decide to swap, return or keep the item

If you decide to keep the item, you’ll pay it back in monthly instalments. Some furniture costs as little as $6 a month, while bigger ticket items like sofas can cost upwards of $100. There’s plenty of different styles and aesthetics on offer so you’re guaranteed to find something that’ll suit your needs. In fact, they just partnered with West Elm, which are top-tier furniture gods if you ask me.

When it comes to the plans, you’ve got two to choose from. A short-term option which is $12.95 a month plus furniture (3 month minimum), or a long-term option which is $8.95 a month plus furniture (12 month minimum). You can read more about the ins and outs of the plans here to decide which one is right for you.

I don’t know about you, but my personal hell is having to assemble furniture. There’s always way too many nuts and bolts (yet one is somehow always missing) and the manual is about 50 pages longer than it should be. One of the best parts about this furniture subscription service is the idea of someone delivering and assembling everything for me. At the end of a long day, I’ll be stumbling over to the couch/bed/chair and plonking myself down to feel some sweet relief.

What’s good in there?

Breeze Furniture has goodies coming out the wazoo but we’ve done you a solid and rounded up some of our favourites below. They’ve just added 70+ OG West Elm pieces, which are finally in reach with this service, whether you rent or pay off over time.

TJ Hoon, CEO and co-founder of Breeze, said of the partnership: “My hope is that our partnership with West Elm will make it easier for more people to skip the fast-furniture and create homes they feel great in with furniture they can feel good about.”

Cheers to that.
