Bliss N Eso To Play Tribute Show For Stuntman Who Died On Music Vid Set

Sydney hip-hop trio Bliss n Eso will hold a tribute concert for stuntman Johann Ofner, who died last month on the Brisbane set of the band’s new music video. All money raised by the concert will go into a trust for Ofner’s daughter, six-year-old Kyarna.
The show will be held at Gold Coast venue The Coolangatta Hotel, with the venue, suppliers and ticketing company all waiving their fees.
Ofner was a popular stuntman who had recently been accepted into the upcoming series of Australian Ninja Warrior. He died on set after it’s believed a prop gun discharged debris when a blank was fired, penetrating his chest.
The tribute gig is booked for March 3, and tickets are available from Oztix for $59. Bliss n Eso have discussed their motivation in a statement on the event’s Facebook page:
The past few weeks have been some of the toughest times we’ve ever been through both individually and as a band. It has been a constant rollercoaster of emotions and we really appreciate all the ongoing support from our friends, family and loyal fans. We continue to offer our support to the family and friends of Johann Ofner who tragically passed away on the set of our music video. We are thankful for his family’s blessing in allowing us to put on this tribute concert, to celebrate the life of this amazing man and loving father.
The group have also pushed back the release date for their new album to April 28.
