Blake Lively Reveals That A Male Colleague Filmed Her While She Was Asleep

As the fallout from the Harvey Weinstein sexual assault allegations continues, numerous Hollywood stars are coming forward with their own stories of harassment and abuse, including Blake Lively, who has revealed that she was once the target of inappropriate behaviour by a makeup artist.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Lively reveled that the makeup artist in question would regularly harass her, and at one point, even filmed her while she was sleeping. She said:

“He was saying things inappropriately, insisting on putting my lipstick on with his finger. I was sleeping one night on location and I woke up and he was filming me. I was clothed, but it was a very voyeuristic, terrifying thing to do.”

She said that she reported the makeup artist’s behaviour to the producers of the unnamed project, but was frustrated to find that absolutely nothing was done:

“Finally, after three months of complaining, they called me into my trailer and said, ‘We need to talk to you.’ I thought, ‘Well finally, they’re going to do something about this man who I had to have touching me all day.’ And they said, ‘Your dog left a poop behind the toilet in your dressing room and our janitor had to pick it up. And this is very serious and we can’t have this happen again.’”

Realising that nothing would be done by the producers, Lively went to her lawyer to complain about the on-set harassment. At this point, she says, an investigation was finally conducted, and the makeup artist in question was taken off the project.

The kicker? “Our unit production manager wrote him a letter of recommendation because nobody wanted there to be bad blood.”

Blake Lively is one of many who have come forward in recent days to tell their stories, with Gwyneth PaltrowAngelina JolieKate Beckinsale and others all accusing Weinstein of sexual harassment, and Rose McGowan naming him publicly as her rapist.
