Billie Lourd Posts Heartfelt Tribute To Mum Carrie Fisher A Year After Her Death

It’s crazy to think it’s been an entire year since Carrie Fisher and her mum Debbie Reynolds passed away. Unfortunately, as anyone who’s lost a parent would know, no time can heal such a traumatic wound.

Carrie’s 25-year-old daughter Billie Lourd today remembered her mother’s passing by posting an emotional snap of the Northern Lights to Instagram. It’s something she was never able to experience with her mum.

Billie captioned the pic:

“My momby had an otherworldly obsession with the northern lights, but I never got to see them with her. We journeyed to northern Norway to see if we might “see the heavens lift up her dark skirts and flash her dazzling privates across [our] unworthy irises”. And she did. I love you times infinity.”

Carrie died at age 60 following a heart attack on a flight from London to LA. It was just a couple of days after Christmas in 2016.

Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker to Carrie’s Princess Leia in the Star Wars franchise, also shared a heartfelt message for the anniversary.

Of course, with someone as legendary as Carrie, there is plenty more where that came from.

Carrie has clearly left an undeniable legacy in the industry, as well as the art she helped create.
