Bernard Fanning, Village People, Conor Oberst Head Up 2015 Zoo Twilight Series

This summer, don’t just spend your time lion around. If you’re in Sydney or Melbourne, quit your monkey business and head to the Zoo! Missing out on this one would be nothing short of a meerkat-astrophe. The summer Zoo Twilight series is back for 2015, and it’s shaping up to be a whale of a time! The annual series showcases some magnificent moose-ical acts, creating an evening absolutely perfect for you and a chimp-anion. What better way to see off a beautiful summer’s eve than with tunes panda picnic? It’s a brilliant time for a brilliant gnu year. Sitting on the grass and getting slothed? What elk could you want!
In all seriousness, the lineup for the Twilight Series at both Sydney’s Taronga Zoo and the Melbourne Zoo are both phenomenal, containing some of the best acts from home abroad. Like who, you ask? How about a little Conor Oberst, for example. Or even a bit of Stephen Malkmus or Belle & Sebastian to satisfy your indie rock needs. Want something a little more rock n roll? You Am I, Spiderbait and The Cat Empire are all making appearances. Throw in some more local heroes like Something For Kate, Bernard Fanning and Sarah Blasko along with international sensation Björn Again and the legendary Village People, and my friends, that is a summer for the ages.
