Benjamin Law’s “The Family Law” To Premiere First Episode On Facebook

2016 is here, and with it comes a brand new calendar year full of brand, spanking, shiny new TV shows – all of which have their premiere dates fast approaching.

One of the more hotly anticipated new Australian shows is Benjamin Law‘s autobiographical series The Family Law – a six-part series adapted from Law’s best-selling novel of the same name.
And because this is the daggum future, the grand unveiling of the series just got a whole lot fancier.
Whilst the show is still scheduled to appear on TV screens nationwide on Thursday, January 14th via the good folk at SBS, those of you with an unquenchable summer thirst for ~fresh content~ will be able to get a lil taste a few days earlier.
Law himself announced today that the show’s premiere episode will go up online in its entirety this coming Friday, available for all to see via the majesty of Facebook.
The unusual choice of streaming service is something of a bold move for the network, given the existence of their already hugely successful SBS On Demand platform.

The episode will hit the SBS Australia Facebook page at precisely 5pm on Friday evening, and will stay online all weekend – expiring at the stroke of midnight on Sunday night/Monday morning.

The series will then get its “proper” debut the following Thursday.
More info about The Family Law can be found via the show’s website.
