Well here’s a bright ray of sun in your dreary morning as the world hurtles ever faster towards total oblivion: turns out love is not a total lie. Maybe.
According to a SCOOP from People magazine, it seems like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner‘s divorce – announced back in the heady, innocent days of 2015 – is off.
“Jen has called off the divorce,” a source close to Garner told People. “She really wants to work things out with Ben. They are giving things another try.”
Another source says it was more mutual. “There is always a chance of reconciliation. They love each other. They also really, really love their kids, and those kids love their parents.”
The couple originally announced their divorce back in June 2015 with a short, terse message:
After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time. This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.
They first met on the set of Pearl Harbour back in 2001, and again while filming 2003’s Daredevil. Dunno if you remember, but people went nuts when they broke up in 2015. I hope those people have found closure in their lives since then, and surely this news only helps.
