Ahhhh, the humble kebab. Australia’s most beloved late-night drunken feed.
But picture this: You’re on your way home, and you’re mad keen for a hand-held feast. But for whatever reason you’re not super keen on tucking into some lamb and tzatziki (what the fuck is wrong with you). Instead, it’s your sweet tooth that’s got the craving. But you’re still fanging for a kebab-like object. Something that conveniently piles a whole bunch of different things into an edible container.
Enter: This magnificent beast. The Tellabab.
Sydney’s Tella Ball Dessert Bar has levelled up their sweet treat game by creating what’s essentially a dessert kebab.
The Tellabab features a specially made doughnut pita, which has fresh strawberries and banana, fresh cream, a health dollop of Nutella, and white and milk chocolate shavings piled onto it, before the whole thing is wrapped up souvlaki-style, just in time for you time to stagger home and pass out with half of it smeared across your chest.
Look at this thing. Look at it. Look.
Far from being just a slapped-together gimmick, the bar has gone all out to transpose the kebab experience to the land of sugar and the like by creating a purpose-made, 13kg spit of white and milk chocolate layers, from which shavings are carved off much like the spinning stick of processed lamb at your local kebabbery.
The Tellabab, a word you’ll have to speak aloud in order to obtain one, will be available from tomorrow at Tella Ball Dessert Bar’s Dulwich Hill location.
Better still, it’ll only set you back a sly blue $10.
This is an absolute bloody gamechanger.
