Ballsy Sod Tries To Fool Cops By Passing Off Illegal Rabbit As Guinea Pig

Hey, you can’t fault the ambition on this one. It’s dumb as hell, sure. But the ambition: you can’t fault it.
A little quirk of Queensland law states that it’s absolutely illegal to keep a rabbit as a pet, unless you obtain the proper licenses and permits.
Owing to the fact that there’s never been a bureaucratic hurdle that’s stopped anyone from doing anything, from time-to-time people in QLD attempt to keep rabbits anyways on the DL.
But if the cops catch wind of your secret furry mate, and decide to come a-knockin’, you’d better hope to dog that your quick wits don’t dessert you.
One rabbit owner in Logan, to the south of Brisbane, found themselves caught out when police responded to an unrelated incident. Attending officers discovered an illegally owned rabbit being kept in a cage inside a caravan.
But when confronted, the owners attempted to convince police that the animal was, in fact, a guinea pig.
The animal looks like this.
If that’s a guinea pig then we are all in big, big trouble.
The fluffy bun was seized by Springwood Police and was checked over by vets, after receiving making cuddles from friendly police officers. The RSPCA subsequently got involved, and the animal is thankfully heading off to a rabbit rescue sanctuary in Grafton, NSW.

Or, to put all of this another way:

Ahem.
SomeBODY once told me
that this is not a bunny.
It was a guinea pig instead.
I said “Sir, this is a bun.
Do you think that I’m that dumb?
It’s got ears coming out of its forehead.
Try getting that ear burrower out of yr heads.
