Bali Cops Confirm Aussie Teen Wasn’t Carrying Drugs & Will Walk Free Soon

After what could have been a frighteningly long sentence to a Bali prison, we can now confirm that teenager Jamie Murphy was not found to possess illegal substances, merely a harmless combination of painkillers and caffeine.

For anyone who hasn’t been playing along at home, Murphy was arrested early Tuesday morning after being stopped outside a nightclub with a bumbag full of white powder, which police naturally thought might be cocaine.
But the head of police forensics, cited as Koesnadi, confirmed to News Corp that the powder contained a mix of four other materials, none of which were illegal:
“We have tested the white powder and it’s not drugs…It’s a mix of at least four materials, including caffein and analgesics.”

This means that Murphy, who is in fact not a Schoolie but a weary, 18 year old soccer referee, should be freed as soon as possible. However, it’ll be interesting to see how he got that white powder in the first place.

Did he make the concoction all by himself? Was he duped by an enterprising young drug dealer? Or, as so many are claiming, was it all a setup?!
Probs not that last one, as the instigating “it was a plant!” video was confirmed as a reenactment, but god now I kind of need to know.
