Bail Denied For Man Accused Of Cole Miller’s Coward-Punch Death

A bail application by one of the men accused of contributing to the devastating death of Brisbane man Cole Miller has unsurprisingly been rejected.

21-year-old Daniel Maxwell applied for bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court last week, after he was charged with one count of unlawful striking causing death.
Magistrate Wendy Cull denied the application today, after over a week’s consideration.
According to the ABC, Maxwell’s lawyer tried to argue that he did not deliver the fatal punch, saying he only hit Miller in the chest.
This means that Maxwell’s staying behind bars, as is the second man involved in the death of Miller, Renata Armstrong. He has not applied for bail.
